La Mediterranee is a charming, culinary oasis of European style in the middle of the active TurtleBay section of Manhattan not far from the United Nations. It is a perfect setting for an enjoyable lunch, dinner, or after dinner drink at their piano bar.
Owner Ernesto Morel brings together the locals from TurtleBay with visitors to NYC at his La Mediterranee Bistro piano wine bar for entertaining nightlife.
Charles Sleeth turns La Mediterranee into a convivial piano bar with popular songs appealing to young local residents who are moving into this dynamic, always growing neighborhood.
Charlie Sleeth has been singing and playing piano professionally all over the world for more than 15 years. His style lends itself to that of his childhood heroes Billy Joel and Elton John, but he is equally at home performing the songs of Frank Sinatra, Nat ‘King’ Cole, Ray Charles, James Taylor, Paul Simon, Neil Diamond, Marc Cohn and everyone in between. His ability to capture the essence of all the artists whose music he performs, without ever actually trying to ‘impersonate’ them, puts him in a category all of his own.
